Finnish architect Asko Lax is a true professional with over 30 years of experience in designing wooden buildings. With more than 100 finished projects in architecture, interior design and urban master planning to more than 15 countries he can truly be described as one of the ultimate log house designing specialists.
Asko Lax was born in Pudasjärvi, Finland. He studied architecture and history in Oulu University, Finland and graduated as an industrial designer from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California. The studies in Pasadena provided him important basis for understanding international design and taught valuable principles of goal-oriented working methods.
Lately the work of Asko Lax has focused largely on challenging projects, such as hotels and presidential residences, but his customers include also private individuals seeking for their dream homes. As his strong points Asko Lax mentions thoroughness and long-term collaboration with Kontio.
